About The Northampton Poetry Review

Initially aimed at writers with a connection to Northamptonshire, NPR is also open to submissions from friends further afar.
Each NPR issue is themed. As well as writing related to the theme, NPR features great new writing across a variety of topics.
Any writing about NPR's patron saint John Clare is also welcomed.
John Clare
The NPR has chosen to adopt the Northamptonshire poet John Clare as our patron saint.
Clare was a lover of the natural world and loved to catalogue and ramble through the Northamptonshire countryside. In his later years he was institutionalised, as his doctor described, after ‘years addicted to poetical prosings'.
